The German sports car maker Gumpert recently announced that they would be expanding their distribution and dealer networks and that they would soon be announcing new models to be added to their line up. Founded in 2004, Gumpert's goal was to produce completely street legal racing sports cars. In 2005 they began production of their first model, the Apollo. This is good news for the sports car maker as it was only 8 months ago that the car maker declared itself insolvent. Now with new investment money, it will be interesting to see what they come up with.
The limited edition Apollo Enraged (pictured above) announced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show impressed with a 4.2 liter 780 HP V8 engine with 678 lb-ft of torque. Reaching 60 MPH in just under 3 seconds the Apollo Enraged has top speed of around 205 MPH. Street legal? Supposedly, as long as you maintain the posted speed limits. Source: www.Gumpert.de |
